A Community Pillar
Barb has been in the banking industry for over 30 years as a colleague of Woodsboro Bank. She’s an Assistant Vice President and manages the Bank’s main office in Woodsboro. Barb has lived in the area her entire life giving her a deeper passion for serving her community. She enjoys the relationship she has built in the community and looks forward to continuing to help businesses and community members with their financial needs.

WBPA: What do you like to do in your spare time?
Barb Garst: “My favorite pastime is spending time with my grandsons! I also love to read!”
WBPA: Have you always lived in the Walkersville area?
Barb Garst: “Yes! I was born in Frederick County and have enjoyed living in a few areas in the county. My parents, grandparents, great-grandparents and other family members also live in the area. I attended Walkersville schools, but eventually graduated from Linganore.”
WBPA: What is your favorite hobby?
Barb Garst: “I enjoy “trying to bowl” in Walkersville. I’ve been a member of a league for many years.”
WBPA: What do you like most about your job?
Barb Garst: “I enjoy my clients! At Woodsboro Bank, through conversations, we always find common ground to build a relationship. I love that our culture at the Bank is to be client devoted, community focused and excellence driven.”
WBPA: What’s the career highlight you’re most proud of?
Barb Garst: “I started my career at Woodsboro Bank as a part-time Teller. I am proud to have come a long way in my career! Currently in my career, I manage the Main Office in Woodsboro..”
